The Best and The Worst So Far....

The Best:

Fiction Book I've read : Assumed Identity, The 5th Profession both by David Morrell. What can I say; I just love David Morrell books.

Songs I've heard : 'Home' and 'It's Not Over' both by Chris Daughtry (actually he's in a band called Daughtry just in case ya didn't know). I also like 'If Everyone Cared' by Nickleback, I love the lyrics of this song.

American Idol Contestant: Melinda Doolittle

TV series: Prison Break, Prison Break, Prison Break, Prison Break and........you get the idea. Can’t wait for season 3.

TV Characters and Actors: Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel, who by the way will be starring in the movie Transformers as Commander Lennox. Oooohhh, can't wait.

Anticipated Movie: Transformers and the Fantastic Four

Anticipated Book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows of course. It's the last Harry Potter book. What am I going to do when it's all over.......why, why must the adventures end! Aaarggh!

Movie Last Year: Superman Returns and Pirate's of the Carribean: Dead man's chest

Movie this year: Pirate's of the Carribean: At World's End (It's the only movie I've watched this year....... I've been busy being busy)

Anime: The one and only anime that I watch and that I'm absolutely crazy about right now is Bleach. You should keep an eye out for my future posting, I'm going to write one whole post just about Bleach. It deserve a posting of its own.

The Worst:

Movies that I've watched last year: Definitely goes to 'Failure to launch', it was extremely stupid and juvenile. The way they decided to solve the conflict between the two main characters was stupid. It would have worked if the main characters were teenagers but they were CLEARLY NOT teenagers. Another bad movie was 'The Break up' starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. I bought the DVD (everyone knows I buy original right, right!). It was money down the drain, even though it was on, ehem! "discount". I felt tired half way through the movie and I stopped watching it. It was tiring listening to two people arguing, bitching and just being spiteful to each other. Who in god's name would enjoy watching and listening to people arguing all day long? You can get that in real life. What were the producers thinking!!

Supposedly Hit Box office movies that I didn't even bother to watch: This category definitely goes to X-men the Last Stand. I've never liked the x-men movies. The movie was somewhat well directed, Bryan Singer did a fairly good job. It's the producers and screenplay writers that I blame. Also, the actors that played Cyclops, Storm and Rogue were not suitable for those roles. Cyclops was portrayed as wimpy and useless next to wolverine who stood out too much from the rest of the gang. It's not supposed to be that way. They're supposed to be a team and yet wolverine gets all the glory. He gets the best fight scenes and the most screen time and of course at the end of each movie, wolverine saves the day. I love wolverine in the cartoon and the comics but I just don't like the fact that he's a one man team in the movies. Even Rogue was portrayed as wimpy, weepy and all together useless. Compare the movie rogue and the rogue in the cartoon or the comics and you'll see that they're as different as a kitten is to a Lioness. Comic-Rogue would beat Movie-Rogue's ass to a bloody pulp.

Another movie that I won't bother to watch is Casino Royale. Sorry I just don't like what's-his-name as James Bond. I don't like the new/old bond that the producers were trying to portray. James Bond is supposed to be 'Shaken and not stirred' in everything that he does. He's suppose to go through a gun fight, a car chase or a fist fight with his hair in place, his suit un-rumpled and his shoes un-scuffed. The new Bond seems to be having a hard time in a simple car chase (I saw this in the movie trailer). Just watch his wide-eyed-oh-my-god-I-could-have-hit-her expression when he swerves his car to avoid the Bond girl that was on the road. Totally not the expression you'll see in the other Bonds and I’m not just talking about Pierce Brosnan. Sean Connery, George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton all fit the ‘shaken and not stirred’ persona of Bond perfectly, although I didn’t like Roger Moore as Bond either.

The producers of the James Bond movies are trying to do what the producers of Batman Begins did, doing a sort of prequel to a well known movie franchise. Batman Begins wasn’t any better than the new James bond movie. I mean, come on, Batman learning marshal arts. What is up with that? Why not just have Chuck Norris or Steven Segal play Batman if what they wanted was to do a marshal arts themed movie. It wouldn't have made the movie any less ridiculous that it already was. Then maybe they could put Chuck Norris or Steven Segal in a batman suit again and call that movie 'Batman Senior'. Now, 'Superman Returns' on the other hand was a great sequel. Bryan Singer has totally redeemed himself in my eyes when he directed Superman Returns. He really seems to have done his homework this time round, either that or he's really a true fan of the original superman movies. The producers and screenplay writers of Superman Returns also clearly know their subject matter more than those who did the X-men movies.

that's quite a thorough review on james bond's movie...i didn't watch it either..the hero is bald isn't he? or too wide forehead?

Not really sure about the bald but maybe his forehead is a bit wide. He looks to old to be the supposedly earlier form of Bond. Tak gi tgk POTC ke? Aku rasa nak gi tgk lagi. Johnny Depp lawak gila (literally)in the movie.

Chris... I like him also. I think he's better than Blake Lewis. But maybe I just don't like beat boxing or whatever you call it that Blake seems to be so good at. Lagu apa lagi ko dengar sekarang?

omg. beat boxing is fucking irritating...remind me of mtv ad yg mamat stutter tu..

other than p.ramlee song (tanya aku gak ke?) i'm listening to hinder (honey why u calling me so late). tp video clip tu tak rock langsung...

i love chris so much, but recently dlm finale AI, dia pakai eye shadow laaa..kening trim siap..hahaha! maybe dia type rocker yg mekap mcm manson kot..i forgive him..

Heh! Heh! You listening to P. Ramlee songs, still can't get over that.

Chris' voice is sooooo suitable for the alternative rock genre. But, yeah I agree the eye liner/eye shadow was a bit too much. It was weird. But it doesn't really matter because lagu2 dia best giler and that's why I love him.

can you updates me on hotspots for pirated dvds in penang? not that i'm saying you buy those pirated stuffs but you should know since you stay there rite?! hehe..

Hotspots for pirated DVD's, what r u talking about?? (said/typed with innocent expression on face). Heh heh! Well, actually I've seen some really cheap pirated stuff in ferringhi. BJ is no longer a hotspot because the pirates are being hotly pursued by authorities.

I don't really know anymore hotspots because I now download movies or tv shows thru "legitimate" sites (Ehem!). Takes time though, depending on the movie/tv show, but it is waayyy cheaper than even pirated stuff.
