Bad at Spelling? Well, Wrory no more!
I received this article about this spelling thing in my e-mail. Apparently around that time (September 2003) this thing was circulating through e-mails and websites. I don't know whether there was really a research on this by Cambridge but it is interesting nonetheless.
According to a research at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are. The only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without problem. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Explanation of this web meme by Matt Davis. Another explanation by Snopes.
When I first saw this i thought, What is this garbage? But, if you start to read i, i think you'll find that you're actually able to understand what it says. At least i did.

Isn't it amazing; I received a similar article some time back. I believe the study was done in Holland. But, it still remains that proper spelling is a form of respect for your reader, true?
Yup. That's right. I still think that spelling is important for people to understand and appreciate what you're trying to say. But it's amazing how the brain processes imformation. Even when thing's are jumbled the meaning still gets across.
iyer laaaa....
